Ser and Estar

1. Read the information below before you click on the website to complete today's assignments.  www.studyspanish.com.  (Also, available from the tab important links.
2. Go to Grammar to find # 15 Ser and Estar lesson I. Read, take notes, and learn the information given.
3. On your left, under the lesson, you will take a. the basic quiz, and b. the mini test. Write out your scores.  They are your records.
4. Go to lesson # 16, Ser and Estar lesson II.  Read and take notes. Then, take the basic quiz.  Write your score. (How many trys ?)
5. Go to lesson # 17, Ser and Estar lesson III.  Read and take notes. Then, take the basic quiz.  Write your score. (How many trys ?)
6. Go to lesson # 18, Ser and Estar lesson IV.  Read and take notes. Then, take the basic quiz A and B.  Write your score for A, and complete assignment B to be turned in as homework.

Mi familia/ proyecto

Proyecto “ Mi Familia” / Mi árbol Genealógico
You will design a family tree describing at least ten family members. Start your descriptions by introducing your family member.  Then, make sure to include name, age, three or more physical descriptions, and color of hair and eyes. In addition, you will write  two or more psychological descriptions. finally, use the expresions: “A mi mamá le gusta……;  A mi tío le gusta…. etc.  to say what they like to do.
 Examples:                  
Mi mamá  /  Ésta es mi mamá (this is my mom)
Se llama María Preciado Quiceno.
Ella tiene 61 años.
Ella es morena, baja  y un poco gorda. Su pelo es negro y sus  ojos son  cafés.
Es trabajadora y simpática. Mi mamá es más cariñosa que mi papá
A mi mamá le gusta cocinar y ver televisión.

            Mi abuelo  /  Éste es mi abuelo. Se llama Alejandro Preciado. El tiene 72 años. El es moreno, bajo  y delgado. Su pelo es canoso y sus  ojos son  grises. Es cariñoso y amable. Mi abuelo es más gracioso que mi abuela. A mi abuelo le gusta leer y pescar. Vive en Colombia.

This project is due Monday,  November 19th.  Your project will be graded on complete information, correct use of adjectives and information given. Creativity, and level of engagement during class time.

How do you plan to get there?   Start on Friday morning, continue with Saturday, and Sunday. You need to plan at least three activities per day.

La Ropa

You are a famous clothing designer.  Create a fall/winter collection for a woman and a man using pictures and Spanish vocabulary. Use the vocabulary in your textbook chapter 2, and internet resources to help you illustrate and describe. You will need to include at least 10 items in your collection.  Copy and paste a picture of a man, and a picture of a woman each wearing at least five items that you can name and describe in Spanish. Do not forget to publish your work!
